Homopolymer Acetal or Delrin is the best plastic for turning on a CNC lathe lathe. It is pretty easy to turn, but it requires slow speeds. I use this stuff to make Scottish small pipes chanters. Between the Delrin and Acetal rods, both materials are incredibly durable and easily machinable, as they have similar physical properties.
